I love to tutor anything that is science related. My favorite subjects to teach are biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry. Throughout my career, I've successfully mentored students and have been a personal mentor to four students during the past two years, who were looking to be more effective research scientists. I taught them presentation skills, proper lab techniques, basic biology/biochemistry, and applying science to realistic situations in the world around us. They all were awarded for their outstanding performance. Strong in math, I can also tutor in this area. I believe no two students are alike. By molding my teaching style, which is what I prefer to do , I can accommodate each student the best I can.My bachelor's degree is in biology, from the University of Florida, where I also did a minor in entomology. Currently, I attend the University of Texas Medical Branch, in Galveston, and am working towards a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in 2009. Having attended an IB middle and high school, I am familiar with all the requirements.When I'm not working, tutoring, or pursuing my advanced studies, I enjoy volleyball, snowboarding, knitting, reading, and watching Netflix.
